XSET adds zekken to Valorant roster
The Valorant Champions Tour is set to begin Stage 3 very soon. The goal for every team, in every region, is to reach Masters in Berlin. That could be the last chance many of them have to secure a spot at Champions toward the end of the year. One team hoping to make moves to increase their success rate is XSET. They have signed Zachary “zekken” Patrone to help with that.
It all started with zekken‘s departure from Noble. As one of the first Noble members after the organization re-entered Valorant. With that squad, he participated in a handful of Nerd Street Gamers and Pittsburgh Knights monthly events. Noble announced that zekken was leaving the team via Twitter.
Less than 24 hours later and he has found a new home. XSET has been a dark horse competitor in NA Valorant since First Strike. They have smashed all expectations and continue to surprise everyone with the level of play they bring to the table. Their best placement in the VCT saw them take 2nd place against 100 Thieves in Stage 2 Challengers 1, punching them a ticket to the NA Challengers Finals. Now, they have another strong player on their roster to push the limits even further.
In a quote tweet, zekken shared his excitement about his signing.
Most recently, he has slotted into the Sova role. In the past, he has performed well with Raze and Phoenix. There are even a few instances of him playing Sage. XSET is going to immediately test out this signing and bring the fight when the VCT starts up again.
Congratulations to zekken on joining XSET and best of luck to them going forward.
