The four teams hoping for a shot at NA Challengers Finals have made their way through the VCT NA Stage 3 Challengers 2 Qualifier. They missed out on Challengers 1, but have rebounded with a run through the bracket. They fought hard and fought long to get to this point. Now, the real test is coming. These teams will join Gen.G Esports, Version1, Kansas City Pioneers, and Rise to complete the Main Event.

Run It Back will have a preview of the opening Main Event match ups later in the week. For now, here are the four big winners of the VCT NA Stage 3 Challengers 2 Qualifier and who they bested along the way.

VCT NA Stage 3 Challengers 2 Qualifier Results

FaZe Clan

  • 2:0 pepecool
  • 2:0 slime slats
  • 2:0 Brimstone Gaming
  • 2:0 Immortals
  • 2:0 Ghost Gaming

FaZe Clan was one of the hottest teams on the planet early in the year. They haven’t been able to replicate that success since. Now might be their chance. They swept through the Challengers 2 Qualifier without dropping a map. Two formidable opponents waited for FaZe Clan near the end of their run. Immortals and Ghost Gaming could have easily played the spoiler, but FaZe Clan had other ideas. This is their opportunity to get back on top. Confidence is key and if FaZe Clan has that, they could be unstoppable.

TSM

  • 2:0 Team Mystic
  • 2:0 303 Esports
  • 2:0 Squirtle Squad
  • 2:1 Andbox
  • 2:1 DarkZero Esports

If any team knows what it is like to be at the pinnacle of NA VALORANT, it is TSM. Once considered the best team in the region and perhaps the world, TSM have fallen off. The squad is still extremely talented, so what happened? Failure to adapt? Bad luck? Regardless, they are making a push for the spotlight once more. While they are the only team to drop a map that made it through the Challengers 2 Qualifier, dropping maps against Andbox and DarkZero Esports may be more helpful than hurtful. It gives them more to review and fine tune. TSM need to be as prepared as they can be, because with a name like theirs, a target will always be on their backs.

T1

  • 2:0 Spectral Esports
  • 2:0 Taipan Esports
  • 2:0 Project 13
  • 2:0 Renegades
  • 2:0 Built By Gamers

Everyone thought T1 would be the best team in North America for quite some time a year ago. They have certainly hung around the upper echelons of NA VALORANT, but the peak has eluded them. Defeating Renegades and Built By Gamers back to back is no easy feat and that will hopefully give T1 confidence heading into the Main Event. At this point, T1 needs to go back to their VALORANT roots and start dominating. It may be now or never. The Main Event needs to see them take advantage of any momentum they gathered and keep their feet on the gas.

Luminosity Gaming

  • 2:0 Spectrum Swing
  • 2:0 Hysteria
  • 2:0 P11
  • 2:0 Resonate
  • 2:0 Cloud9 Blue

Luminosity Gaming is another team that can hang with the best of them. Many felt Cloud9 Blue was on the come up, ready to take their place among the elite, but LG put up a brick wall to stop them. Two 13:9 victories propelled LG to the Main Event after a clean bracket sweep. They are in familiar territory once more. Going up against difficult opponents is not new to Luminosity. They are looking to make an even bigger impact with a chance at Challengers Finals on the line.
