The Open Qualifier for the VCT NA Challengers 3 tournament is soon to end. Much like the previous Challengers Qualifiers, teams started in the Round of 128. A packed schedule of Valorant followed, shrinking the amount of teams with every new round that approached. There are some notable teams missing from the VCT NA Challengers Qualifier Quarterfinals. There are also some notable teams that may still miss out if they do not make it past this upcoming stage.

There will be four winners over two days. Those four winners will head to the VCT NA Challengers 2 Main Event with the already qualified teams of Gen.G Esports, FaZe Clan, 100 Thieves, and Luminosity Gaming. That will then decide the remaining teams for the first NA Masters event.

VCT NA Challengers 3 Qualifier: Quarterfinals Preview

TSM vs. Version1

TSM may finally have a chance to qualify for a Challengers Main Event. Previously, they were defeated by a team that has qualified for Masters in XSET and a team they could very well face in the Challengers 3 Main Event, Gen.G Esports. Version1 is a fairly new team, but have been halted by FaZe Clan in both Challengers 1 and 2. This is going to be a very interesting match up. Neither had exceptionally difficult paths to this point. They have also never played against each other before. TSM versus Version1 could either be a tight knit contest or a blowout either way.

Demon Time vs. NRG

This is a very surprising series to see in the bracket. Demon Time had to go through C9 White, Andbox, and Pittsburgh Knights. That is a pretty tough run to pull off. Good on them, but now a hungry NRG team awaits. NRG has suffered Challengers losses to Team Envy, Gen.G, XSET, and Andbox. The first three were all in Challengers 1, as they made it to the Main Event, but did not go far enough to qualify for Challengers 2. Demon Time could pull off a huge upset here or NRG could unleash their frustration built up over the last several weeks. This is the one to watch, for sure.

All signs point to this being the most competitive contest of the VCT NA Challengers 3 Qualifier Quarterfinals. Neither team has made it past the Round of 16 in the previous Challengers Qualifiers. This time around, both have made it to the Round of 8, but only one will advance further. Many fans of NA Valorant are just a bit surprised to see that these two teams have struggled to make it to a Main Event. It is truly anyone’s game with a talented T1 squad going against a perhaps equally talented C9 Blue squad.

beastcoast vs. DaHoonkaBhanKoloos

No one expected this to be the last contest matched together on the bracket. The likes of Renegades, SSG, and BBG were all bounced from the tournament between these two teams. In their first Challengers Qualifier attempt, DaHoonkaBhanKoloos gave up one map and had a total round count of 110-58. Beastcoast have done quite well, with a respectable loss to Team Envy in the Challengers 2 Qualifier. This contest is going to be wild. One of the final Challengers 3 Main Event spots is going to belong to a team that were not even on the radar. That’s the beauty of Valorant.
