Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) Masters 3 has been decided by Riot Games to be held in Berlin, Germany. The news has been announced via Riot Games Media Preview Event. VCT Berlin has been reported to feature a bigger amount of teams that will participate, at 16. Masters 3 will be held from September 9-19 as the last Masters event before the first ever Champions event in Valorant.
Apart from housing 16 instead of 10 teams when compared to the upcoming VCT Masters Reykjavik, the winner of the Berlin Masters tournament will be automatically qualified for the Champions event at the end of 2021. This serves as an even bigger motivation for teams to reach for the trophy, especially the big names that have failed to qualify for the VCT Reykjavik Masters event. The likes of Vision Strikers, G2, and 100 Thieves will definitely have the Berlin Masters event on their top priority list.
While VCT Masters 2 in Reykjavik does not guarantee a direct spot at the Champions event. Instead, the winner of the event will receive 400 circuit points. In fact, all participants from the event will receive circuit points. The amount scales depending on the placement.
Riot has high hopes for a live audience to be a possibility at the VCT Masters Berlin. This is yet to be decided depending on the state of the coronavirus in the region at the time. While Reykjavik will unfortunately not hold a live audience, surely everyone hopes that Berlin will be able to house Valorant fans starting September 9. We will keep you updated as the situation develops.
