Valorant Agent guide: How to play as the quaking Breach

Valorant character Breach is an aggressive support Agent that initiates attacks and uses utilities to help his teammates get map control. Although his main role is attacking support, this Agent is equally good as a defender too. Besides being team-oriented, he is also good at solo-gameplay and highly efficient in duels. That’s why Breach is considered as a top tier “OP” Agent that we could see receiving a nerf in future updates.

Going Over Valorant Agent Breach’s Abilities

Those who prefer a safer approach to the game will definitely like Breach. Unlike other Agents, Valorant Agent Breach can use all of his abilities through walls. Experienced players who know how to use the mini-map will easily master all of his abilities.

  • Basic Ability #1: Aftershock| Cost: 100 | Charges: 2
  • Basic Ability #2: Flashpoint| Cost: 200 | Charges: 2
  • Signature Ability: Fault Line | Cost: Free | Charges: 1
  • Ultimate Ability: Rolling Thunder| Cost: 7 Points | Charges: 1

Aftershock

Valorant Agent Breach aftershock

Equip a fusion charge.
Fire the charge to set a slow-acting burst through the wall. The burst does heavy damage to anyone caught in its area.

Aftershock is the ability mostly used for getting map control and clearing common spots. If you are playing as an attacker, you can fire the Aftershock through the wall to clear tight angles and common places that defenders like to hold. It will force your enemies to move and reveal their location. Once this happens, be prepared to shoot any enemy that comes into your line of fire. Use the mini-map to aim and see the exact location of the Aftershock explosion.

Flashpoint

Equip a blinding charge.
Fire the charge to set a fast-acting burst through the wall. The charge detonates to blind all players looking at it.

Only 2 Agents have flashes in this game, Breach and Phoenix. However, Breach has a far superior flash in almost every way. It lasts longer, it is easier to aim, and can be thrown through any wall. You can use flashes to support your teammates while attacking, or to support your solo runs, blind your enemies, and get free kills. Flashes are also useful if you are playing as a defender. They can help you reposition safely and blind multiple enemies if they are rushing, allowing you to either get to cover or fire some shots.

You can see Flashpoint in action as well as Breach’s other abilities in our latest YouTube video.

Fault Line

Equip a seismic blast. Hold Fire to increase the distance.
Release to set off the quake, dazing all players in its zone and in a line up in the zone.

The signature ability of this Agent is Fault Line. This is one of the most powerful abilities in the game if used properly. Its main purpose is to get map control and daze enemies. The ability is completely free and you should use it in every prolonged round. The best of all, it can even help in eco rounds to ensure at least one kill and a free plant. The downside of this ability is the long charge time required to send it farther distances.

Rolling Thunder

valorant rolling thunder

Equip a Seismic Charge.
Fire to send a cascading quake through all the terrain in a large cone. The quake dazes and knocks up anyone caught in it.

The easiest way to explain Rolling Thunder is to call it “Fault Line on steroids”. This ability will trigger a quake in the form of a giant wave that will daze and knock up anyone found in its way. Use it as an attacker and reveal locations of all enemies hidden on the site. As a defender, you can stop rushes or use it in bomb re-takes. However, be careful because it can also be harmful to your teammates, so just give them a heads up before activating it or simply check your mini-map to ensure no one is within the line of fire.
