Valorant Agent guide: How to play as the explosive Brimstone

There are already a few Agents in Valorant that are being touted as must-haves for any competitive team. Cypher and Sage are two examples of Agents that would be on this list. However, there’s also another character included on that list, being Brimstone. While Brimstone may not offer the sexist play style in Valorant, he can swing rounds to your favor in the blink of an eye. Let’s look at Brimstone’s abilities and some of the best ways to use those abilities.
Also, make sure to check out our other Agent guides on the Run It Back homepage.
Equip an Incendiary grenade launcher. Fire to launch a grenade that detonates as it comes to a rest on the floor, creating a lingering fire zone that damages players within the zone.
“Molly!” If you’ve heard that phrase in Valorant before, then you know exactly what Incendiary does. Basically, Brimstone can fire a grenade that turns into fire whenever it touches a surface. This fire is pretty damaging to anyone who steps in it, so it’s a great tool for forcing an enemy to move out of a corner or stop them from advancing to a vantage point. Just be careful where you launch the Molly as it can damage teammates as well as enemies.
Equip a Stim Beacon. Fire to toss the stim beacon in front of Brimstone. Upon landing, the stim beacon will create a field that grants players RapidFire.
Unlike with Incendiary, there’s really no right or wrong time to use the Stim Beacon. You can have two charges of the ability so this gives you a little wiggle room in deciding when to use one. When you do decide to throw down a Stim Beacon, you and your teammates will be granted RapidFire for as long as you stay in the beacon. If you leave the beacon, you’ll quickly run out of RapidFire.
If you don’t know what RapidFire does for you, check out the list below.

Equip a tactical map. Fire to set locations where Brimstone’s smoke clouds will land. Alternate Fire to confirm, launching long-lasting smoke clouds that block vision in the selected area.
Easily Brimstone’s most useful ability, Sky Smoke gives your team a plethora of options when attacking or defending. When you want to activate the ability, you’ll pull up a map that only shows your immediate surroundings. So, while you can’t see the entire map, a good chunk of it will be available to you. On this map, you can place up to three smoke clouds that will land exactly where you placed them. The smokes will last for a little over 10 seconds and are impossible to see through.
Sky Smokes are especially useful for pushing a bombsite on offense but are also great if you want to defuse a bomb. However, many players place them down at the beginning of a round to secure passage to an area without fear of being shot at.
Equip a tactical map. Fire to launch a lingering orbital strike laser at the selected location dealing high damage over-time to players caught in the selected area.
An extremely powerful Ultimate, Orbital Strike can single-handedly win rounds in Valorant. Like with Sky Smoke, Brimstone will bring up a map of your immediate surroundings. So, make sure you’re relatively near where you want to use the ability. Once you choose where to use Orbital Strike, a circular laser will drop down from the sky and deal massive amounts of damage to anyone caught inside.
Orbital Strike really shines when you know where a clump of enemies are or you hear a bomb being planted or defused. Simply bring up your map and drop down the strike to either kill the enemies or force them into your line of fire when they try to escape the laser.
