Valorant, like many other games, has a multitude of skins to choose from. Obtainable either from the battlepass or the in-game item shop, there are quite a few skins out there already. However, this time around, Valorant developers have taken it to the next level with a new skin collection announced on Twitter, which is dubbed to be “Ultra Edition”, and is named “Elderflame”.
The skins collection was already teased in a six second clip on Twitter, showing a fire breathing dragon. At once, people started speculating whether this is a teaser for a brand new agent, or, a new skin collection. Those that put their money on the latter were totally right.
The announcement clip on the official Valorant Twitter showcases the peculiar animations with possibly each of the weapons in the collection.
From the video, we can see that the weapons shown in order are:
The skins are, so far, definitely one of a kind. The skins transforming the weapons into actual (baby?) dragons is nothing we’ve seen before in Valorant. The reload animations
The Elderflame collection will definitely be a collection that people with tons of credits will be keeping on their radar once the skins come out on July 10.
Despite Valorant devs not telling us the price outright, the prices of the new skins may have been leaked already. Given that these are the first “Ultra Edition” grade skins, they’re going to get pricey for sure.
According to the leaker, “Valorant Leaks & Updates”, each Elderflame skin may cost as much as 2475 Valorant Points. The bundle then, may cost as much as 12,375 VP, given that it contains the five skins showcased in the reveal video. It costs $100 to get 11,000 VP. Taking into account that the bundle usually costs less than buying all the skins separately, this may be how much you will need to spend to get the Elderflame collection into your arsenal.
We will find out how much the bundle will cost for sure on July 10.
