TSM confirms Brax as their sixth player

Six player rosters are quickly becoming the new trend in Valorant. For a variety of reasons, teams have taken a liking to an extra player than the server allows. The likes of NRG, Cloud9 White, T1, and Team Heretics all have that anomalistic sixth player. It could be due to scheduling, versatility, or simply just having options. The most recent team to sign a sixth player is none other than fallen from grace TSM.

TSM confirms Brax as their sixth player

Nothing stays a secret in Valorant. For a short while, speculation regarding Braxton “brax” Pierce joining TSM has been running wild. Screenshots of in-game friends list have shown him in similar game situations with TSM players. It was as concrete as concrete could be without an official statement from the organization. Now, that official statement has been released.

TSM is one of a few notable teams that missed the first North American Masters tournament. Many felt a roster change was inevitable. Instead of removing a member or two, though, they added one. After a 2nd place finish during First Strike, TSM has struggled to replicate that success throughout early 2021. This freshness could be the jumpstart they need.

The roster now consists of:

  • Stephen “reltuC” Cutler
  • James “hazed” Cobb
  • Matthew “Wardell” Yu
  • Yassine “Subroza” Taoufik
  • Taylor “drone” Johnson
  • Braxton “brax” Pierce

Brax is notorious for his time in CS:GO and the North American match fixing scandal. He is also well known for being the first professional Valorant player signed to a team. That happened over one year ago as he became the focal point of T1’s journey into the hottest new esport from Riot Games.

On February 8, 2021, brax was released from T1. It is a bit ironic that he now joins TSM as their sixth player after T1 recently signed their own sixth player. Look for TSM to get back to winning as the Valorant Champions Tour continues.
