The first Act of Episode 2: Formation is over and done with. In true Valorant fashion, the game has shifted right into Episode 2, Act II. There was hardly a delay and fans are eager to jump into the action. Astra, the newest Controller agent, is now available for players to test out. The patch notes included several changes to the ranking system, whether it be with playing with varying ranks or needing to prove yourself even further to reach the coveted Radiant rank.
The real meat comes in the form of a brand new Battlepass. Valorant has done a wonderful job delivering content for premium Battlepass buyers and with Free Chapter Rewards each Act. Episode 2, Act II continues to raise the bar. Valorant may have one of the best Battlepasses in all of gaming.
Stand Out Item: Prism III Judge
The Prism III skin set is a sleek orange color. The Judge is a shotgun that can make any skin look good. Within the first five rewards, this top of the line skin is obtained. Those close quarters lovers are sure to rock this bright skin on their shotgun of choice.
Stand Out Item: Do Not Enter Spray
Sprays oftentimes go overlooked. Do Not Enter should not be one of those. In the Episode 2, Act II Battlepass, this Chapter 2 reward is great. Players can use it to mark their territory and scare away opposing players. Imagine approaching A Lamps from A Short and this Spray is posted on the wall. That’s honestly terrifying.
Stand Out Item: Polyfrog Sheriff
The Sheriff gets plenty of good skins and this is another. Popping heads with a smug frog on the end of the barrel is too incredible. It shouldn’t be allowed. Valorant and Riot Games have already done it, though. The Polyfrog Sheriff is going to be a blast to use.
Stand Out Item: Cavalier Ghost
The Cavalier skin set in the Episode 2, Act II Battlepass is super clean. The Ghost version manages to make the pistol look futuristic and ancient all at the same time. There is one word to describe the Cavalier Ghost and that is, “Smooth.”
Stand Out Item: Cavalier Vandal
The Vandal takes the Cavalier skin and turns it up a notch. The shining silver/white color is the focal point rather than the wooden brown finish. Everyone loves a new Vandal skin. Fans might be torn between receiving this and hoping for a Prism III version, but the Cavalier Vandal is so nice to look at.
Stand Out Item: Is This A Drone? Spray
This could very well be the best Spray in the entire Episode 2, Act II Battlepass. The overused meme has found a new home in the form of Sova and his cute little drone. The depiction is pretty much spot on and brought out a good chuckle the first time seeing it.
Stand Out Item: Prism III Odin
The Odin is a massive gun. It has so much space for its skin to really stand out. The Prism III Odin is a gigantic metallic orange masterpiece. There is no doubt that further along in the Act, this weapon and this skin will be shredding through players in B Main on Ascent from the other side of the wall.
Stand Out Item: Dumpster Fire Spray
The Free Reward of Chapter 8 is wonderful. Putting down a Spray after finishing a round in style is the perfect way of letting the opposing team know exactly how you feel about them. There are going to be some serious verbal altercations when the Dumpster Fire Spray is pulled out after an Ace.
Stand Out Item: Cavalier Operator
This is the last of the Cavalier skins in the Episode 2, Act II Battlepass. They certainly saved the best for last. Similar to the Odin, the Operator is just a large weapon will plenty of room for the selected skin to shine. The Cavalier skin just looks amazing on this sniper rifle.
Stand Out Item: Prism III Axe
In the final regular Chapter of the Battlepass, players can obtain the Prism III Axe skin for their melee weapon. The slick black handle fits incredibly well with the vibrant orange of the axe. This is going to be a common sight while hunted in a 5v1, down by nine rounds.
The Episode 2, Act II Battlepass can be purchased for 1,000 Valorant points. There is no change to that amount from prior Acts. Players will earn the rewards throughout the season and can retroactively obtain them whenever the Battlepass is bought. Enjoy it!
