Team Vitality release LoWkii from VALORANT roster

Team Vitality have announced that they have released Théo “LoWkii” Téchené from its VALORANT roster. The French player has been present on the team since late March of 2021.
Team Vitality have already acquired a new player in the form of Mohamed “shalaby” Shalaby from Anubis Gaming, a team that won the Red Bull Campus Clitch – World Finals. This move also saw Jesse “JESMUND” Terävä hit the bench to make space for the newcomer who is still on trial.
Despite the changes, Vitality did not qualify for EMEA Challengers Finals. The French team failed to live up to expectations at VCT Challengers 2 Main Event after falling to Team Liquid before getting knocked straight out from the event from the Lower Bracket of play by Team BDS. Failure to reach the EMEA Finals meant failure to qualify for Masters Berlin.
With a one-player makeover, another seems to be on the horizon very shortly. The Team Vitality twitter account posted the following comment under the announcement:
The coaching staff is working hard to prepare the future of our VALORANT team, stay tuned!

Despite the message being very broad, we are sure to receive more information in the coming weeks or maybe days. With so much talent on the pro scene, it’s a matter of time before Vitality find the perfect fit for the VALORANT roster and a replacement for LoWkii.
