Team Liquid replace L1NK with Dreamas

The Team Liquid VALORANT team has announced that they have replaced Travis “L1NK” Mendoza with Aurimas “Dreamas” Zablockis. The move will see L1NK become a substitute while Dreamas will immediately play for Team Liquid for the remainder of the VALORANT Champions Tour Stage 2, including the ongoing EMEA Challengers 2.

Dreamas replaces L1NK mid Challengers 2

The surprising move will see Dreamas be instantly slotted into the Team Liquid roster in the middle of EMEA Challengers of Stage 2. In fact, Team Liquid will be facing Natus Vincere on June 3, the same day the announcement has been made.

So far, Team Liquid have been having a decent run at the EMEA Challengers event with 2 wins and 1 loss. With two more matches to go, they will need at least one more victory to guarantee themselves a spot at EMEA Challengers playoffs stage. However, for seeding purposes, Team Liquid will surely be eyeing a 4 win, 1 loss score going into the playoffs.

Team Liquid’s current standing in Group B at Stage 2 EMEA Challengers

The Lithuanian newcomer has a history of playing predominantly Sentinel agents, maining Killjoy while at his previous team, LDN UTD. L1NK, on the other hand, was the premiere Controller main for the Liquid roster. We are either going to witness a re-shuffle of who takes whom, or Dreamas will take over the smoker responsibilites at Liquid.
