It was recently announced that rhyme and luckeRRR are to join the NiP Valorant roster, forming the foundation on which the rest of the team will be built.
Both of these players recently featured in the Ignition Series, G2 Invitational event, where their performances must have stood out enough to warrant their signing to the established NiP organisation. Emir “rhyme” Muminovic played this event under team Zerator, while Niels “luckeRRR” Jasiek played for team Ex6tenZ.
LuckeRRR was formerly a CS:GO pro player for the FNATIC Academy side, as well as having achieved some notable results in Valorant thus far:
Rhyme was also a former CS:GO player, and likewise, has achieved some notable results in the Valorant scene so far:
While the organization has announced that rhyme and luckeRRR are to join the NiP roster, the rest of the team has not yet been announced. The organization seems to have high ambitions for the Valorant scene, with Jonas Gundersen, COO of Ninjas in Pyjamas, stating that:
“We strive to be the best team in the world at everything we do and the road to achieving that in Valorant is both new and incredibly exciting. It will require us to keep working towards the performance and roster philosophy we have across all our teams and at the end of the day, it’s our ability to attract, inspire and retain the best players that will be at the heart of our esports setup, giving them all the support needed in order to fulfill their potential.”
NiP also revealed that they would be releasing their Paladins roster, emphasizing their focus on Valorant moving forward.
We had the opportunity to interview luckeRRR before the G2 Invitational, find out more about what he had to say about the event.
