OG has parted ways with former head coach Tanishq “Tanizhq” Sabharwal before the second stage of the VALORANT Champions Tour Stage 3 Open Qualifer. Tanizhq will assist SuperMassive Blaze for the remainder of Stage 3.

OG announced its complete VALORANT roster just before the start of VCT Stage 3. This included the new players Harry “DPS” MacGill, Tomas “Destrian” Linikas, Nikita “trexx” Cherednichenko, and head coach Tanizhq.

Tanizhq was previously a coach for Mattistack and Inferno. He eventually joined Team Heretics as a coach in October 2020 but left the organization in May 2021. He joined OG as the head coach in June and only spent a month with the team before departing.

Tanizhq explained that the “chemistry was not there” and that it was best for him to part ways with the team. OG did no qualify for the Challengers 1 main event and was defeated in the open qualifiers by Team Finest.

OG VALORANT Manager Julien “daemoN” Ducros expressed his hope for Tanizhq’s future success in the official announcement.

“I would like to thank Tanizhq for his time with us. Although it didn’t pan out as we wanted, I’m confident he will find success in his next endeavors,” daemoN said.

A new team for Tanizhq

Tanizhq will join SuperMassive Blaze for the rest of VCT Stage 3. It is unclear if he will remain with the team after the EMEA Playoffs, but he still has a home as a coach for the time being.

OG has a lot of work to do if the organization wants to rise to the top of the European VALORANT scene. Hopefully, the team’s next head coach can pick up the slack and mesh well with the roster.
