The European VALORANT scene witnessed a new collaboration today. OG and LDN UTD announced that two organizations decided to merge in VALORANT, rebranding LDN UTD as OG LDN UTD. They also revealed the roster that will compete in VALORANT Champions Tour 2022 EMEA Stage 2 Challengers.

  • Ričardas “Boo” Lukaševičius

OG clarified the future of the current OG VALORANT squad. According to a statement released by the org, the organization will continue to support and operate its current VRL France: Revolution team until the end of the season. They had revealed the French roster just a day prior.

Both teams’ CEOs shared their opinions regarding the merging in the press release:

“Very rarely do we have a chance to work with another value driven company and in LDN UTD we have found a perfect match. We love their community driven initiatives and what they are building, so when we all sat down together and spoke, we became very excited about this adventure together. We think they have done a very good job building and nurturing this project and we hope we can contribute to its success this new season.”

– JMR Luna, CEO of OG Esports said.

The team will compete in VCT 2022 EMEA

“OG’s reputation in esports is well earned and highly respected, and through this unique partnership we will be able to continue to support our existing Valorant team and give them the best chance of pursuing success and fulfilling their ambition. We look forward to working closely with OG to grow the community and host engaging, joint events with them in London that further our ethos.”

– Oliver Weingarten, Founder and CEO of LDN UTD.

In addition, day to day operations of the team will continue under Head of Esports Ali “Rezi” Rashid and OG’s Head of Esports, Mike Schwartz.

Entering the scene back in March 2021, LDN UTD managed to step into the big league with VCT 2022 Europe Stage 1 Challengers. After qualifying for the main stage, the squad protected its spot for the upcoming Stage 2, even though it couldn’t qualify for the playoffs.
