In an unexpected turn of events, NUTURN has announced the departure of Choi “10X” Jin-woo from their VALORANT roster.
NUTURN gaming, known for being South Korea’s first international VALORANT representatives after winning VCT Korea Stage 2 and reaching third place in Masters 2: Reykjavik, found themselves falling in the first round of playoffs in VCT Korea Stage 3. They came into the tournament with high hopes and a roster change. 10X stepped into the void left by Kim “Lakia” Jong-min. Unfortunately, the team ended their run with an early exit after a very close series against DAMWON Kia. It was a disappointing finish for sure. Whether the problems came from a mismatch of the team’s roles or due to the lack of time for the team to learn to work together cohesively, we can only speculate.
There has been no announcement from NUTURN as of yet regarding who they will be get signed as a replacement. 10X has also not said anything publicly, as far as we’re aware, about the next steps in his career as a pro player.
There’s still plenty of time before the Last Chance Qualifiers and VALORANT Champions. We’ll continue to keep an eye out for future updates.
