Luminosity complete roster with YaBoiDre and moose

Luminosity Gaming’s roster was looking pretty bare going into 2021. That is no longer as the team announced their newest players: Diondre “YaBoiDre” Bond and Kaleb “moose” Jayne.

Luminosity Remastered

The team had a rocky finish to 2020, with Zachary “Venerated” Roach stepping down and Justin “Ksiaze” Goszczynski being released. Starting with the NSG x Complexity Invitational on January 9, both YaBoiDre and moose were on Luminosity’s roster even though the former was technically on the roster for beastcoast at the time. It doesn’t look like he was playing for them however, as they played with Anthony “vanity” Malaspina and Jordan “Zellsis” Montemurro on loan from Version1.

Prior to beastcoast, YaBoiDre played for Highground and 100 Thieves. Moose’s most noteworthy team prior to Luminosity was the appropriately named Orgles5. The latter is also an ex-CS:GO pro who played for teams like eUnited and Team Envy.

Despite losing to Envy in the VCT Challengers 1 Qualifier, Luminosity still qualified for Challengers 1. There, they lost 1:2 to Sentinels and placed 3rd, which earned them an invite to Challengers 2. That didn’t go as well as the first one as XSET eliminated them in the Lower Bracket Round 2. Instead of going straight to Masters, they have to go through Challengers 3 or will perish. If they fail, they would have to wait for VCT NA Stage 2. Our very own Brandon “Mothman” Moore will keep you up to date on all the VCT NA matches.

Luminosity’s new roster is now as follows:

  • Alex “aproto” Protopapas
  • Brenden “stellar” McGrath
  • Brady “thief” Dever
  • Diondre “YaBoiDre” Bond
  • Kaleb “moose” Jayne
  • Benjamin “trainer” Bravo (Coach)
