Linepro joins Team Heretics as strategic coach

Team Heretics continues to enhance its VALORANT core with new additions. The Spain-based organization revealed Ivo “Linepro” Kolev as the new strategic coach of the VALORANT roster. The new member will work together with the team’s head coach Noel “Noel” Garberi.

Team Heretics roster:

  • Christian Garcia “lowel” Antoran
  • Jose Antonio “Bromas” González
  • Daniel “mertz” Mertz
  • Mario “PoPiFresH” González
  • Wassim “keloqz” Cista
  • Alham “Jakexd” Meguenni
  • Noel “Noel” Garberi (coach)
  • Ivo “Linepro” Kolev (strategic coach)

This is the second roster move Heretics have made in a small amount of time. On February 25, the organization acquired keloqz from G2 Esports to stop the course of events at VRL Spain: Rising. After handling the firepower side, the team is making an attempt to amplify its strategic depth.

Linepro’s professional career fame comes from Overwatch. Being an active player between 2016 and 2019, Linepro represented big names, such as TSM and Spain, in the scene. Then, he moved to VALORANT in 2020 and continued his career as a player until 2021. After spending some time with Spanish organizations as a player, the 26-year-old decided to become an analyst and joined 19esports. Most recently, he was serving under Case Esports’ banner.

Things have been underwhelming for Team Heretics in the 2022 season. First, the team got upset in the open qualifiers of VCT 2022 Europe Stage and then ended VRL Spain: Rising’s group stage with a single victory out of nine matches, placing at the bottom of the standings. Now, despite being one of the invited teams in the league, Team Heretics has to play relegation matches to protect its spot.
