Renegades has been steamrolling the Tier 2 North American Valorant scene. Events held by Nerd Street Gamers and Pittsburgh Knights have been Renegades’ playground. It is almost as though the team has become the gatekeepers for those looking to make a name for themselves in NA Valorant. A short break from competition has taken place, but will soon be over. Renegades is ready to jump back into the server with their new fifth player, Justin “Jerk” Milani.
Jerk has been playing Valorant since the start. The list of teams he has competed with in just a year’s time is definitely not short:
The most recent team added to the list is Renegades, shortly after the team parted ways with original member Chuck “CP2” Proud, who was signed with his Big Frames teammates.
2021 has seen Renegades shuffle their roster just a bit, all while maintaining their dominance with five first place finishes in Nerd Street Gamers tournaments during the month of April.
It started with Justin “coachJ” Anzalone leaving after his contract expired on the first of the year. That was followed with an early February parting of ways between Renegades and Stephen “Berghy” Bergh. That saw the signing of Roy “StrongLegs” Ahad shortly after. Near the end of March, Evan “Warbirds” Olzem was brought on as the coach. Then the rest is history with the CP2 release and entrance of Jerk.
The Renegades roster now consists of:
Needless to say, the squad is looking incredibly strong. This could see them jump back into the Tier 1 conversation with Stage 3 of the Valorant Champions Tour on the horizon. The new look of Renegades has to be looking to replicate their success from the end of 2020 as they qualified for First Strike North America before exiting that event 5th-8th.
