Immortals has signed JonahP to Valorant roster

The post-Masters Reykjavik/post-VCT Stage 2 roster moves are continuing. As the Valorant Champions Tour resumes in a couple of weeks, there are bound to be teams left behind. Immortals does not want to be one of those teams. The North American team has found its newest member in the form of Jonah “JonahP” Pulice.

The formation of the current Immortals roster

Immortals entered the scene during Valorant’s beta phase. Since that time, they have shuffled their roster a handful of times. Some core components remained, but it wasn’t until late 2020 and early 2021 where the team really started to shine. They had consistent finishes near the top of several events, but ultimately exited First Strike North America in 5th-8th.

During Stage 1 of the Valorant Champions Tour, Immortals looked unstoppable. The aforementioned shine began to fade after that, however. Immortals were bounced from Stage 1 Masters in 7th-8th. Stage 2 Challengers 1 and Challengers 2 delivered 5th-6th place exits. Masters Reykjavik was never even on their radar.

In January, both Jason “neptune” Tran and Jason “jmoh” Mohandessi left the team. They were replaced later that month by Nicholas “NaturE” Garrison and Rhett “Kehmicals” Lynch. After stepping down from the active roster for personal reasons, NaturE was replaced by Daniel “Rossy” Abedrabbo before mutually agreeing to terminate his contract.

Rossy completed a trial period and became a full fledged member of Immortals at the end of April. The start of May saw more roster updates for Immortals as Noah “jcStani” Smith chose to explore other options and not renew his contract. All of that leads to now, June 3, 2021. JonahP has become the final piece of the puzzle.

JonahP in Valorant

JonahP is a former professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player. Like many CS:GO pros, he made the switch to Valorant. It was in October of 2020 when JonahP really got his first opportunity in Valorant. He began a trial with Complexity Gaming. That trial lasted until he signed with Immortals.

Throughout his time with Complexity Gaming, JonahP took part in multiple Nerd Street Gamers and Pittsburgh Knights tournaments, along with Challengers 1 and 2 of the NA Valorant Champions Tour Stage 2. With his signing, Immortals now consists of:

  • Amgalan “Genghsta” Nemekhbayar
  • Andrew “ShoT_UP” Orlowski
  • Rhett “Kehmicals” Lynch
  • Daniel “Rossy” Abedrabbo
  • Jonah “JonahP” Pulice
