We wrote earlier about Anastasia “Glance” Anisimova transferring from Guild X to G2 Gozen. Today on January 7, 2022 at around 2:00 AM GMT+8, Guild X announced the signing of Emil “eMIL” Sandgren as their new coach for the upcoming season.

Short competitive history

The Guild X roster started as an orgless team known as Project X before getting signed by Guild Esports. The team found relative success at the C and B tier level of competition, winning a Birds of Prey tournament and a Huntress Division tournament. The team then entered the VCT EMEA Game Changers series. Although they failed to get to the top four in the first two, the team managed a second place finish in the last tournament only falling to G2 Gozen in the Grand Final.

Active roster

With this signing and the loss of Glance, the Guild X roster will consist of:

• Klaudia “klaudia” Beczkiewicz 
• Yağmur “Smurfette” Gündüz 
• Vivian “roxi” Schilling
• Sophia “Kim” Benfakir 

The team’s coach will be eMIL, but a fifth player for the roster has yet to be announced. It’s clear, however, with this announcement that the organization will continue to pledge its efforts in supporting the team for the foreseeable future.
