Vincent “Happy” Cervoni Schopenhauer has been moved to the inactive roster of Giants Gaming Valorant. Taking his place on the main roster is Adolfo “Fit1nho” Gallego, who played for the team back in 2020.
Giants Gaming was one of the highest ranked teams in European Valorant throughout 2020. The team boasts a total of 5 first-place finishes of their 28 tournaments played as well as 3 second-place finishes. They originally entered the Valorant scene in June of 2020 with a roster that included Fit1nho. After about 6 months of playing with the team, Fit1nho was benched and later on acquired by 19esports.
Before his transition to Valorant, Happy was a Professional CS:GO player for multiple teams but most notably, Team Envy. During his time as a CS:GO player, Happy raked in multiple large and notable tournament wins including two major wins! Since his move to Valorant, Happy has had multiple tournament wins. More recently however, he has been underperforming alongside the rest of Giants Gaming. Hopefully with his move to the inactive roster, Happy will have time to weigh his options and rest up before competing again.
It has only been a couple of weeks since Fit1nho first left Giants Gaming and he’s already back. During his early time at Giants, Fit1nho brought the team to many of their first and second-place finishes. It seems he provided some sort of spark for the team that Giants didn’t know they needed until now. Fit1nho definitely has large shoes to fill by replacing a legend like Happy, but as he stated in a quote directly from Giants Gaming, “Replacing a player like Happy is a great responsibility, but I feel ready.”
