On December 2, 2021 at 2:44 PM GMT+8, FPX Esports’ VALORANT division has announced the signing of Latvian player Ardis “ardiis” Svarenieks.
In the early days of the EU VALORANT pro scene, Ardiis signed to G2 Esports. That team dominated Europe, winning many of the early tournaments in the region including the first Red Bull Homeground tournament and six tournaments in the Ignition Series. Unfortunately for that roster, however, other EU teams would begin to match and surpass them soon after. Once VCT was established, the team failed to advance further than the round of eight (Ro8) in both VCT Stage 1 and Stage 2. Changes were made, and soon, Ardiis was released from the organization. He then joined Team Heretics before getting benched for health reasons shortly after.
With his signing to FPX, the organization’s VALORANT roster will now be composed of:
FPX as an organization had relative success in the VCT EMEA scene, but have been struggling as of late. The team managed to achieve a 4th place finish in VCT Stage 3 Challengers 1, but were unable to advance farther than 9th-12th in the playoffs. Most recently, this roster participated in the Red Bull Homeground #2 tournament before Ardiis’ signing was made official. They ended the tournament in 9th-12th as well.
We here at Runitback will continue to give updates on any new roster changes that arise.
