Fenerbahçe Esports returns to Valorant boasting an 11-player roster

The Turkish team 1907 Fenerbahçe Esports (or just Fenerbahçe) has once more returned to competitive Valorant. After disbanding on January 31 of 2021, the football-affiliated esports team was no more. However, the Turkish side has returned in large numbers to compete again.
The reformed Fenerbahçe Esports is allegedly a carefully selected team from over 600 participants that went through trials. The tweet, when translated from Turkish to English reads:
“At the end of your VALORANT auditions, which lasted for months and where more than 600 active participants competed fiercely, our new players and coaching team have been announced. Welcome to the family!”
Beat Them With Numbers
A hefty 11-player roster is confusing to say the least. It is currently unclear how the player rotations will work. As we all know, only 5 players may be present on one team at a time on a Valorant server.
Despite that, we have seen some Valorant squads dabble with 6-player rosters. A prime example was Team Heretics after they signed the Counter-Strike veteran, Ruben “RUBINO” Villarroel Brødreskift. The six-man roster would see the team switch out Dustyn “niesoW” Durnas for RUBINO on select maps.
An 11-player roster was unheard of, until now. While we are yet to see how Fenerbahçe decides to rotate players, the team will surely try their hand at qualification for Masters Berlin.
