The Evil Geniuses are the latest top-tier esports organization to field a Valorant team. This team will be participating in the Valorant Champions Tour, and their first game is tonight. The official announcement video is below:

As mentioned in the announcement video, the lineup for Evil Geniuses’ Valorant roster is the following:

• Christine “Potter” Chi
• Alexandar “Alexandar” Hinojosa
• Ronan “Osias” Javelona
• Nolan “Temperature” Pepper
• Claudia “Clawdia” Che

A Surprising But Potent Roster

Astute observers will notice that this roster is mixed gender. This is significant because there are few rosters in esports as a whole that are mixed gender, let alone in Valorant. Still, we can’t think of a better roster to represent the Evil Geniuses in Valorant. The male portion of the roster includes heavyweights such as ex-Moon Raccoons players Temperature and Alexandar. Osias is nothing to sneeze at either, claiming his Valorant experience from his time with Mamba Mode Gaming.

As for the women of this roster, they have strong credentials in the scene already. Potter for instance was an esports commentator and analyst for CSGO prior to playing Valorant. As for her Valorant experience, she played in the FTW Summer Showdown. There, her team GX3 made it to the Grand Finals, where they were defeated by the team now known as Cloud9 White. Meanwhile, Clawdia has experience in Valorant being Potter‘s teammate for that same tournament. Clawdia also has captured some of her best moments on Valorant to date over on Twitch.

To say this team is “one to watch” is kind of cliché. However, considering the rarity of mixed gender teams in esports overall, this phrase applies more than ever to this team. Still, there’s potential for them to deliver. There’s a combination of raw talent and previous Valorant experience on this team that should (hopefully) shut the critics up.
