DarkZero Esports has made some big moves over the last couple of days. It started with them finalizing their starting roster by signing Jamal “jammyz” Bangash. Now, just before the start of the 2022 North American VALORANT Champions Tour, DZ has announced that they have a new head coach. Formerly of G2 Esports, Neil neilzinho Finlay had made the move to NA.

DarkZero Esports hire neilzinho as the head coach

DarkZero Esports has made one of the standout EU free agent coaches a free agent no more. The British coach exited Counter-Strike: Global Offensive like many others and started his VALORANT career with Rix.GG. Shortly after, he transitioned to the role he became famous in the scene for with G2 Esports.

That saw neilzinho spend nearly all of 2021 with the organization. He coached them through their entire VCT run, with solid victories during the Challengers stages and a great 3rd-4th place showing at Masters Berlin. The team failed to make Champions, however, with a 3rd place finish in the EMEA Last Chance Qualifier.

Just days before Christmas, neilzinho was let go from G2 and a little over a month later, he has a new home. DarkZero has a talented roster loaded with potential that could take the rest of NA by surprise. The addition of a coach of this caliber is sure to see them performing far past expectations.
