Tournament organizer BLAST has teamed up with Riot Games to bring back Spike Nations tourney to VALORANT. Featuring a €60,000 prize pool, the tournament will feature EMEA teams from multiple countries and regions. The hefty prize pool will be fully donated to charity.
The first installment of BLAST Spike Nations featured in November of 2020. Team Portugal came out on top among the 10 teams invited with a $100,000 prize pool that was also donated to charitable causes. That was the last time we heard of the BLAST-sponsored event.
However, Spike Nations returns for a second installment. The competition will this time feature 12 teams from EMEA and will run for two days, starting from October 7 to 9.
The teams competing at the VALORANT Spike Nations event include:
The teams will be split up into three groups of four teams in each. Top two teams in each group will proceed to the knockout stage.
Interestingly enough, Fracture will be included in the map pool of the event.
“After hearing such positive feedback from both creators and fans during last year’s Spike Nations event, this year we’re partnering with BLAST to deliver something even bigger and better. We’ve got some great surprises in store and feel confident that this year will deliver an even better fan experience. We can’t wait to see our country teams battling it out for a good cause.”
