The telecommunications network, AT&T, announced their partnership with the 100 Thieves Valorant team in a press release.
While AT&T will be an “organization-wide sponsor for 100 Thieves”, they will also be the presenting sponsor for their Valorant squad. The two will work together to create gaming content and live events that will highlight AT&T’s 5G and Fiber technologies.
As part of the deal, they will create the AT&T VALORANT Training Room at the 100 Thieves Cash App Compound. This is will allow the players to practice for their upcoming tournaments in a dedicated environment. Apart from being featured on the team’s jerseys, there will also be AT&T-sponsored limited-edition merchandise.
“AT&T has been elevating the culture of gaming and esports with some really unique and inclusive programs, which is a perfect match for 100 Thieves. We can’t wait to do amazing things together,” said Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag, 100 Thieves Founder & CEO. “We know our VALORANT team is the best team in North America, thanks to our First Strike championships win. Being able to work with AT&T and utilize their products and services will only elevate the team’s play going forward.
AT&T also sponsors Cloud9, which hosts both a male team under Cloud9 Blue and a female team under Cloud9 White. Despite this, that sponsorship is not as focused on their Valorant team as the 100 Thieves sponsorship is.
The 100 Thieves Valorant team are fresh off their win at First Strike North America, where they defeated TSM 3:1 in the finals. Most recently, they placed 3rd-4th at the JBL Quantum Cup in December. Maybe a dedicated training room will lead the team to more wins in the future.
