The 30B Summer Cup will feature twenty of the best North American Valorant teams, facing off against each other for their share of the $5000 prize pool. Fourteen of these teams have already been invited to the event, with the other six having to earn their spots through one of two qualifiers.
The first qualifier takes place on July 30, and is subject to a $10 per player entry fee. The top four teams from this qualifier will progress through to the main event.
The second qualifier takes place on July 31 and is free to enter. The top two teams from this qualifier will advance to the main event.
The format for the qualifiers will consist of a double-elimination bracket. The teams competing in the qualifiers will be randomly seeded and all matches will be best-of-one (BO1), except the grand-finals which will be a best-of-three (BO3) showdown.
Sign-ups will close on July 30 at 10 PM EST for the community qualifier, so there is still time to enter. More info on how to sign up can be found here.
The 30B Summer Cup main event will take place from Aug 1-2, after the qualifiers have finished. The fourteen invited teams are listed below:
Based on recent performances, one might consider Sentinels to be one of the favorites going into this event. They recently won the PAX Arena VALORANT Invitational in dominant fashion. Cloud9 is another team that has been on the rise and has been able to put up podium finishes in the last three of the events they have attended. TSM, Envy, and 100 Thieves are certainly teams to look out for too.
At this stage in the Valorant esports scene, any of the top teams are capable of winning, making for incredibly exciting events!
